FTC TECHNICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

PAPER TECHNOLOGIES, COASTAL

Employment Type: Fixed Term

A 1 Year Fixed Term Contract Technical Sales Representative position has become available in the Paper Technologies Division, based in Sappi Saiccor.

Qualifications
  • A Degree or National Diploma or equivalent in Pulp and Paper / Chemistry/ Biochemistry / Microbiology / Chemical Engineering is a pre-requisite.
Experience
  • A minimum of 6 months’ relevant technical sales experience in the Pulp & Paper industry will be an advantage.
Responsibilities
  • Accurate chemical application to the pulping and bleaching processes, cooling water systems, liquid solid separation, boiler water systems and other chemical applications as required.
  • Laboratory and on-site chemical evaluation related to chemical performance in various processes.
  • Accurate interpretation of chemistry related to all chemical applications.
  • 100% continuity of chemical supply, inclusive of deliveries and housekeeping.
  • Strict adherence/compliance with customer standards/required results, chemical and plant related.
  • Accurate budget and general administration.
  • Maintain and improve SHERQ performance to deliver targeted sales at the lowest possible risk to the company.

The successful candidate will be a people-person, practically orientated, able to handle pressure, a problem solver and a team member who is self-motivated. They must have advanced writing skills and in particular technical report writing, be able to communicate at all levels, be organized and self-disciplined.

Computer literacy, proficiency in Microsoft packages and understanding of business systems is a necessity.
