Technical Sales Representative Refractories & Refineries (JB5595)

Drive sales growth and support key accounts within the refractory and refinery sectors across Southern Africa. This role combines technical knowledge and sales ability to position raw material solutions in high-temperature environments such as steel cement and petrochemical industries. The successful candidate will manage a territory consult on product application and act as a trusted advisor to industrial clients.

Responsibilities
  • Grow sales and manage a defined territory within the refractory / refinery sector
  • Maintain and build long-term relationships with industrial clients
  • Conduct client site visits for technical support and troubleshooting
  • Provide material recommendations based on application needs
  • Manage full sales cycle: lead generation, quoting, negotiation, closing
  • Monitor market activity, competitor trends and new technologies
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth service and delivery
  • Submit accurate reports and forecasts using CRM tools
Qualifications
  • A relevant Diploma / Degree
  • 35 years experience as a Technical Sales Representative in Refractories Refineries Petrochemical or Heavy Industrial sectors
  • Solid knowledge of refractory materials and high-temperature industrial processes
  • Existing industry network (steel cement petrochemical non-ferrous sectors) advantageous
  • Valid drivers license, own vehicle and willingness to travel regularly
  • Excellent communication and technical presentation skills
  • Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Germiston Gauteng
