Job summary

A leading services company in Durban seeks a Plumber to lead plumbing maintenance tasks and ensure compliance with SHEQ standards. The ideal candidate will have a Matric certificate, a Trade Tested Plumber qualification, and 2–3 years' experience in maintenance. Key responsibilities include supervising plumbing tasks, record-keeping, and conducting risk assessments, while maintaining a clean workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise plumbing maintenance tasks and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with SHEQ standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001).
• Allocate work and monitor performance of Artisan Plumbers and Assistants.
• Maintain accurate records of time sheets, materials, and completed work.
• Identify and manage critical spares for plumbing equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and apply best operating practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment.
• Support other departments and perform reasonable ad hoc tasks.
