Job description

Job title : Starke Ayres : Picker Packer - Port Elizabeth

Job Location : Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pick products accurately as per customer orders and transfer them to the holding area for checking.
  • Verify correct seed reference numbers and report any discrepancies to the Stock Controller.
  • Notify the Stock Controller of any out-of-stock items and follow further instructions.
  • Ensure all items meet quality standards for cleanliness, packaging, labelling, and presentation.
  • Follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation procedures when fulfilling orders.
  • Pack checked orders into appropriate containers, label them as per customer requirements, and ensure relevant documentation is included or attached.
  • Assist with scheduled bi-annual stock counts / checks as directed by the Stock Controller.
  • Weekly checking all stock.
  • Support fellow team members once own tasks are completed.
  • Maintain a neat, tidy, and organised work area at all times.
  • Adhere to security measures to safeguard products, assets, and the facility.
  • Assist with the invoicing of customer orders and provide product information to walk-in customers.
  • Perform any reasonable task assigned by the Stock Controller related to the warehouse environment.
  • Conduct duties responsibly and professionally, fostering goodwill and a positive image of the company.
  • Keeping outside yard and parking facilities clean.
  • Housekeeping daily (sweeping cleaning and mopping warehouse)
  • Cold Room kept clean and neat daily.
  • Dust shelves and clean products weekly.
  • Daily spot check for insects.
  • Weekly offloading stock / check, and once checked with paperwork pack away, FiFo first In Fist Out.
  • New stock received new labels to be made for all cold-room stock.
  • Courier Collections or dispatching phone Triton to collect or receiving
  • Stock check and send to Administrator to put into system.
  • Monthly checking Expired dates and divert back to Administrator.
  • Inform daily DC Supervisor Low stock levels while picking to check stock.
  • Credited saleable stock to be packed away once Administrator give instruction .
  • Warehouse stock rotation.
  • Check Forklift all in good order and complete forklift register every time in use, must be serviced after specific hours.
  • Daily checking and loading drivers for next day deliveries stock verses Delivery Manifest.
