The purpose of the role is to promote the sale of products by developing client relationships, increasing the skill level within Axiz staff and clients and advising clients in the configuration and pricing of the solutions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Professionally and efficiently manage customer engagement with a view to maximizing the client experience.
- Report on lost deals with reasons and pending deals (pipeline).
- Display accuracy regarding messages, quotes, orders and information given.
- Answer customer queries, offer product information.
- Consult with clients to establish the needs of their business.
- Ensure customer expectations are met – order taking and delivery.
- Increase overall customer satisfaction of new and existing customers' base to be effective in solving challenges that arise and need to be solved for the customers.
- Report weekly on all activities wins and losses.
- Promote the sale of products effectively and efficiently to customers via personal visits, telephone and email contact, marketing and training events.
- Prospect for new customers and generate interest in products with clients currently not reselling from Axiz.
- Identify and develop under‑performing customers.
- Work closely with the vendor on deals / tenders to ensure they are secured for Axiz and its resellers.
- Involve the Vendor and sales in customer meetings, be tactful in the approach and follow through with at least three key action points per meeting.
- Work closely with resellers, understand their targets from the vendor and gain majority market share within their businesses.
- Provide first‑level technical advice on products and keep customers informed of new developments in product set.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric certificate with exemption (essential).
- Marketing or commerce degree or diploma (preferred).
- 2 years sales experience in the IT industry (essential) & IT distribution (preferred).
- 2 years sales experience selling to large corporate customers (preferred).
- Account management experience (essential).
- Technical Competencies: MS Office Suite (Intermediate – essential).
- Building and maintaining relationships with existing and new business partners.
- Business development and program management within allocated business partner accounts.
- Recruitment and enablement of business.
- Account planning and performance analysis.
- Facilitating technical and brand sales training for business partners.
- Facilitating and assistance with marketing events to generate leads for business partners.
