Job summary

A leading university in South Africa seeks a qualified professional to support student mental health and wellness. Ideal candidates will possess an Honours Degree in Social Work (or equivalent) and have 3 to 5 years of counselling experience. Responsibilities include organizing life skills workshops and collaborating with various stakeholders within the university. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for the role.   • Excellent professional skills and experience to co-ordinate, organize and implement life skills workshops, programmes, and presentations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to liaise effectively and professionally, with a wide range of people e.g., colleagues, managers, scholars, students, faculty staff, internally and outside the university.
  • Occasional after-hours workshops/presentations on campus and in Residences
  • Computer literacy
  • Report writing, editing and research skills.

Experience in working in the above areas at a Higher Educational Institution would be an advantage.
