Role Description

The SHEQ Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management systems to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.

This full-time role is on-site and located in Pretoria.

Key responsibilities include conducting risk assessments and audits, developing SHEQ policies and procedures, overseeing incident investigations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and promoting a culture of safety and quality through training and engagement.

The SHEQ Officer will play a critical role in fostering a safe and efficient work environment.

Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management systems and regulatory compliance
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
  • Ability to develop, implement, and monitor SHEQ policies, procedures, and training programs
  • Proficient in data collection, reporting, and analysis related to SHEQ metrics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging teams and promoting SHEQ culture
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a degree or certification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, or a related field
  • Experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or a similar environment is advantageous
  • Proficiency in relevant software or tools to manage compliance and reporting
