Job Overview

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the organization's SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) policies are effectively implemented and complied with.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management and be able to provide guidance and support to Safety Officers within the division.

Duties and Responsibilities

SHEQ Implementation: Lead the implementation and compliance of SHEQ policies within the business unit.

Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to OHSA and MHSA frameworks to guarantee a safe working environment.

Safety File Management: Oversee the management of safety files and contractor packs for all allocated projects.

Support to Safety Officers: Provide support and guidance to Safety Officers within the division.

Audit and Inspection: Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and compliance checks to identify areas for improvement.

Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.

External Representation: Represent the organization during external audits and inspections.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as occupational health and safety or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in a safety management role.

Strong knowledge of OHSA and MHSA frameworks.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
