A leading consumer intelligence company is seeking a Senior Specialist in Operations for their TV Audience Measurement team in Johannesburg. This full-time position involves overseeing data processing workflows and quality assurance, while coordinating with vendors to ensure the timely delivery of accurate audience data. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in data operations and be proficient in SQL or Python, along with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The role supports compliance with internal standards and South African regulations.
The Senior Specialist – Operations plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of operational processes for South Africa’s official TV audience measurement currency. This position supports the Head of Operations in managing data processing, quality assurance, incident resolution, and vendor coordination, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of audience data to the market in compliance with internal GfK standards and POPIA regulations.
5+ years in data operations, audience measurement, or broadcast/media analytics. Strong knowledge of data processing workflows, QA techniques, and operational SLAs. Familiarity with South African TV ecosystem, BRC governance, and panel methodologies. Proficiency in SQL, Python, or similar for data validation and troubleshooting. Experience with cloud platforms and ETL tools is a plus.
Attention to detail; problem-solving; technical acumen; collaboration.
On-time delivery of daily audience data (T+1, T+28); QA pass rates; SLA compliance; documentation completeness for audits.
