About the Role

As the Safety, Quality and Risk Management (SQ&RM) Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting safe, high-quality care across the Mental Health Clinical Program (MHCP) at Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). Working closely with the Nurse Lead MHCP, you’ll help foster a positive team culture, guiding and mentoring others to strengthen patient safety, quality improvement, and risk management practices. This is a role where your clinical expertise and leadership will directly contribute to better outcomes for patients and staff alike.

Day-to-day, you’ll provide coordination and advice on safety, quality and risk systems across your area of responsibility. This includes leading projects and initiatives to improve care delivery, investigating and analysing adverse events, and supporting the implementation of recommendations. You will also provide education and advice on the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards, contribute to program and priority care committees, and help develop and report on key performance indicators. With your knowledge and passion, you will empower teams to continuously improve the way care is delivered.

About You

You are a dedicated and experienced Nurse or Midwife with the passion, knowledge and leadership skills to support safe, high-quality care. You bring a balance of clinical expertise, problem-solving ability and strong communication, and are ready to make a real impact in this important role.

Current registration (or eligibility) with the Nursing Board of Australia, with at least 3 years post-registration experience

Proven leadership and management experience, with the ability to motivate yourself and others, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and achieve successful outcomes

Comprehensive knowledge of accreditation, quality improvement, and safety standards, with confidence in using clinical and business applications
