Job summary

A recruitment agency in Durban is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to manage payroll processing for their employees across five branches. In this role, you will oversee administrative tasks related to payroll, ensure timely salary payments, and handle employee records and benefits. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a payroll position, familiarity with Sage VIP or Sage One Payroll, and advanced Excel skills. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar position (minimum 200 employees).
  • Applied knowledge of payroll or remuneration department and reporting related to payroll.
  • Experience with Bargaining Council and Union Contribution.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure salary deadline is met.
  • Responsible for preparation and processing of monthly payroll.
  • Ensure accurate payroll is captured as per the salary schedules.
  • Process leave forms and maintain employee clocking system.
  • Review job records for accuracy with timesheets.
