Senior Operations Manager

As a Senior Operations Manager, you will be at the helm of ensuring the seamless execution of all operations in a Premium Finance business. Your leadership will drive process efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction, all while fostering strong partner relationships and operational excellence. You'll manage a team of three direct reports, steering the team towards strategic goals and continuous improvement. You'll be a catalyst for growth, playing a key role in strategic planning and improvement projects alongside our executive team.

What you’ll do

• Manage daily operational workflows including client onboarding, loan disbursement, collections, and settlements
• Refine and document Standard Operating Procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance
• Sign off on key administrative tasks and maintain operational accuracy
• Oversee finance and CRM platforms, ensuring seamless integration and functionality
• Execute compliance with FICA requirements and conduct regular operational risk assessments
• Act as a primary contact for brokers, insurers, and clients for operational queries and escalation resolution
• Mentor and lead the operations team, conducting KPI reviews and training programs
• Drive process automation opportunities in collaboration with IT and management
• Lead strategic operational projects and track performance metrics to optimize processes
• Manage a team of three direct reports focusing on performance and professional development

What you’ll need

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in operations management, preferably within financial services
• Proficiency in managing business operations, with strong analytical skills
• Comfortable engaging with clients, especially on complex issues
• Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and team performance management
• Experience in CRM and finance management tools like Finance Master and
• Ability to work independently, showing initiative and a proactive attitude
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Driver's license and own transport
• Based in Johannesburg, with the ability to be in the office three times per week
