  • All LAPS completed.

  • Retaining and servicing clients on all IR issues.

  • Visiting clients monthly and managing communication as scheduled.

Job description

We currently have an exciting position available for a Senior Labour Law Consultant to be based at our Pretoria branch office.

You are responsible for, including but not limited to:

  1. Retaining all clients as well as servicing clients in terms of all IR issues.
  2. Providing training to all clients as per LabourNet standards.
  3. Visiting all clients once per month.
  4. Contacting all clients as per schedule.

These typical Labour Law issues can range from:

  1. Chairing disciplinary inquiries.
  2. Drafting judgments for clients.
  3. Assisting with issuing warnings to ensure compliance.
  4. Drafting and implementing policies.

And more complex issues like:

  1. Wage negotiations.
  2. Strike management.
  3. Retrenchments.

Qualifications:

You’ll need a customer-first mindset and the following skills to succeed in this role:

  1. 3 years B. Degree or equivalent in HR / IR / LLB or related field.
  2. 2+ years of experience in labour law (consultations on retrenchments, strikes, chairing disciplinary hearings, dispute resolution, etc.).
  3. All LAPS completed.
  4. Eagerness to learn the ins and outs of labour law.
  5. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  6. Ability to function effectively within a pressurized and fast-paced environment.
  7. Valid driver’s license and own vehicle are essential.
