Qualifications

• Minimum of BEng / BSc / BTech degree from an accredited university.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech. Eng.
• 5 to 8 years of experience in fire engineering.
• Experience in the consulting engineering industry is advantageous.
• Valid Code B driver's license and own transportation required.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as needed.

Responsibilities

• Consulting engineering and project management for fire safety designs.
• Develop fire safety plans for evacuation and firefighting equipment.
• Write reports for rational designs deviating from standards.
• Assist junior engineers with technical designs.
• Meet with clients and authorities regarding safety regulations.
• Design fire detection and suppression systems.
• Review drafts produced by the BIM team.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts and projects.
