Senior Financial Accountant – A well-established organisation based in Graaff-Reinet is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of core financial functions while leading and developing a team. In this role you will oversee the fixed assets, accounts payable, treasury and month‑end reporting ensuring that every process is delivered with precision and integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full fixed asset function ensuring accurate tracking and compliance
• Oversee the accounts payable process with strong controls and efficiency
• Take ownership of the cashbooks and treasury operations to ensure accurate cash management
• Drive the month‑end close process and produce reliable financial reporting
• Lead, mentor and manage a team of 8 direct reports fostering accountability and growth
• Implement and refine processes to improve financial accuracy and operational flow
• Support internal and external audits through structured and transparent reporting
• Apply systems knowledge to streamline accounting workflows

What You Bring

• Completed BCom Degree (minimum requirement)
• Minimum 3 years of experience with 35 years within accounting functions
• Strong technical experience across fixed assets, accounts payable, cashbooks/treasury and month‑end reporting
• Proven team management experience (8 direct reports)
• System exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365 is advantageous
• A leadership approach grounded in accuracy, structure and developing people
