Job summary

A growing digital consultancy based in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Finance Assistant to support finance operations locally and internationally. The ideal candidate should be well-organized and experienced in managing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end support. A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel are required for this role. Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience as a Finance Assistant, Bookkeeper, Accounts Assistant, or similar.
  • Strong working knowledge of cashbooks, AP / AR, GL reconciliations, and ledger posting.

Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices and prepare payment runs.
  • Issue accurate monthly client invoices and assist with credit control.
  • Maintain and reconcile cashbooks and banking transactions.
  • Allocate receipts and payments accurately to the General Ledger.
  • Manage staff expenses and ensure adherence to policy.
  • Support the month-end close, including GL reconciliations, accruals, and schedules.
