The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximizing project profitability, ensuring contractual compliance, and managing commercial risks. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a proven track record in the construction sector.

Requirements
  • BSc Hons. degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying
  • 10+ years of post-graduate experience in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in Buildsmart System and Construction Computer Software (CCS)
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and standard contract documents
  • SACQSP professional registration is essential
  • Experience in design-build / EPC projects and project finance structuring
  • Proven ability in commercial and business risk analysis
Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and compliance with legal and project requirements
  • Oversee contract execution, manage variations, and ensure adherence to agreed terms
  • Monitor project expenses, control cost overruns, and ensure projects remain within budget
  • Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting risks and opportunities
  • Resolve claims and disputes with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve favorable outcomes
  • Collaborate closely with project planners to optimize claims opportunities
  • Lead commercial risk analysis and contribute to business development and strategic planning
