Job summary

A diagnostic products manufacturer is seeking an Active Raw Material (ARM) Quality Manager in Durban. This role involves ensuring product quality through the evaluation and approval of plasma suppliers and overseeing laboratory operations. Candidates should have an MSc in a relevant field and extensive experience in quality management, along with strong communication and analytical skills. The position requires knowledge of good manufacturing practices and the ability to lead a team effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in quality control or a microbiological laboratory.
• 5–10 years' experience as a senior staff manager in a quality or pharmaceutical environment.
• Hands-on experience with internal and supplier audits is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to product quality, safety, and efficacy through evaluation of plasma suppliers.
• Testing and releasing human plasma and derivatives per cGMP standards.
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the Quality Active Raw Material laboratory.
