Description/Synopsis

A reputable pharmaceutical group is looking for a finance professional to join their team as a Senior Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions, compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional with strong analytical skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum Requirements
  • BCom Hons degree in Accounting/Management Accounting
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in an accounting role
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills essential
  • Power BI experience advantageous
  • Good Time Management Skills
Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Analyse financial data and performance metrics to provide actionable insights
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes and assist in audits
  • Manage payment processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, resolving variances
  • Implement and monitor internal financial controls to ensure compliance
  • Oversee and reconcile stock receipts, resolving discrepancies with suppliers
  • Support inventory valuation processes in collaboration with procurement and supply chain
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting with accurate financial insights
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes
  • Process automation
