Job summary

A leading security services company is seeking an Operations Manager in Durban. The successful candidate will manage Operations Managers and ensure all site security requirements are met while maintaining relations with the client. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years in the security industry, strong people management skills, and relevant certifications. A valid driver’s license and reliable transport are mandatory. Responsibilities

• Manage several Operations Managers covering client liaison and HR/IR matters.
• Ensure contractual requirements are met as stipulated by the Client.
• Maintain good relations with Clients regarding security services.
• Evaluate service levels and recommend improvements.
• Liaise daily with Branch management on operational issues.

Overview

The overall purpose of this position is to manage several Operations Managers in covering the following key areas, client liaison, HR /IR matters, fleet management, expenses control, Investigations and to ensure the posting of Security officers, that all site security requirements are adhered to and that the Client’s needs are efficiently and professionally met at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric certificate, PSIRA Grade A registration and accreditation.
• At least 5 years’ experience in the security industry.
• People management experience.
• Computer literacy on Microsoft Programs.
• Own reliable transport and valid Driver’s Licence is required.
• Must be firearm trained for Business Purpose
• No criminal record
• Applicants to reside in Durban

Key Performance Areas (not totally inclusive)

• Ensuring that contractual requirements are met as stipulated by the Client.
• Maintaining good relations between Fidelity Security Services Group and the Client with regard to security services rendered.
• Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the Client regarding the improvement of services.
• Dealing with all required administration matters.
• Liaising daily with Branch management on various operational issues.
• Submitting relevant weekly / monthly incident and general reports as required by Management.
