Your Role

Sales Focus : Drive sales of all Industrial Air equipment.

This includes managing inbound and outbound leads through proactive follow-up calls and emails.

Coordinate sales efforts with marketing campaigns to ensure cohesive strategies are aligned.

Maintain and expand market share within the designated territory.

Understand key competitors including benefits and weaknesses of each brand.

Territory Management : Effectively manage assigned territory to maximize sales opportunities.

Business Development : Identify new business opportunities and applications for our products.

Meet and exceed key performance indicators and targets for your area of responsibility.

Customer & Distributor Management : Manage relationships with distributors and customers, focusing on new product launches, training, and staying updated on technology trends.

Collaborate with channel partners to build a robust pipeline and close deals.

Maintain and update CRM databases, ensuring all activities are captured accurately to maintain transparency at all times.

Possess in-depth knowledge of compressed air equipment and related technologies.

Expertise in compressed air systems is essential.

Conduct business ethically and in accordance with Atlas Copco guidelines and "The Way We Do Things".

To succeed, you will need
Qualifications

Sales and Marketing qualification, or equivalent experience gained through sales (proven).

Grade 12.

Valid driver's license.

Experience

Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in selling capital equipment, specifically within the compressor industry and compressor capital sales landscape.

Skills And Knowledge

Product Knowledge : Possessing in-depth knowledge of compressor products and industry trends is essential. This includes understanding technical specifications, basic sizing, compressed air applications, and the competitive landscape in order to effectively communicate value to customers.

Territory Management Skills : Comprehensive understanding of the South African landscape and its geographical regions.

Proven experience in efficiently managing limited resources to ensure effective customer segmentation and achievement of performance goals across large territories.

Self-Motivation : Demonstrates strong self-motivation and excellent negotiating skills.

Team Player : Engaging team player with effective presentation skills.

Interpersonal Skills : Possesses excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.

Travel Willingness : Willing to travel throughout Gauteng and other provinces as required to ensure sufficient market presence.

Customer Focus : Develops and maintains a healthy customer visit schedule, ensuring a strong sales focus remains a key factor.

Resilience : Demonstrates resilience and persistence in the face of challenges.

Professionalism : Upholds a high standard of ethical business practices and professionalism in all interactions and activities.

Clear and effective verbal and written ability.

Adaptability : Being flexible and able to adjust to different situations and customer personalities and buyer roles.

Effective and efficient administrative skills are essential, including a keen attention to detail, influential abilities, and a strong phone presence.

Computer Skills : Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general navigation skills in CRM systems.
