We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Senior Sales Specialist to join our team, focusing on achieving ambitious sales targets for a crucial portfolio of instrumentation and reagents within the KZN region. This role is about securing new business revenue and fostering deep customer relationships. Please note this is a fixed-term contract for a duration of 2 years.
What You Will Be Doing (Key Missions)
- Territory Ownership & Growth : Achieve and exceed sales targets by relentlessly driving new business and optimizing existing relationships across the KZN clinical/diagnostics industry.
- Relationship Architect : Build, nurture, and maintain strategic relationships with customers, Key Accounts, and KOLs to maximize sales opportunities.
- Process Excellence : Execute the full sales cycle from preparing proposals and negotiating tenders to ensuring all activities comply with ethical standards and company policies.
- Cross-Functional Leadership : Act as a central liaison, ensuring seamless cooperation with Application Specialists and Product Managers to deliver the best solutions.
- Strategic Reporting & Market Intel : Provide accurate sales forecasts, actively monitor market trends, competition, and customer needs, and update your CRM tool daily.
What You Need to Bring (Non-Negotiable Requirements)
- Minimum 5 years of Sales Experience.
- Industry Knowledge : Experience selling Capital Equipment OR experience working in a Laboratory Environment (ideally both).
- Territory Expertise : Knowledge of the KZN Clinical/Diagnostics industry sales landscape.
- Education : BS/BA degree in Science or Business-related field (Biology, Bacteriology, Premedical, or medical degrees preferred).
- Essential Skills & Qualifications :
- IVD Market Mastery : Extensive understanding of the IVD market, competition, and selling processes.
- Tech Savvy : Solid computer literacy and experience utilizing a Sales Force Automation tool (Salesforce) for daily reporting and pipeline management.
- Career Ambition : Demonstrated potential and aspiration to move into a managerial or Key Account Management (KAM) role in the future.
