We're Hiring | Sales Representative

Location: Pomona

Recruiting on behalf of our client in the construction materials industry

Hominum Solutions is seeking a motivated Sales Representative to join our client’s team at a leading sand, stone, and aggregates supplier. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, a strong understanding of the construction materials market, and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers in the industry.

Objectives of the Role
  • Generate new business and drive sales growth within the sand, stone, and aggregates sector
  • Maintain and grow existing customer accounts
  • Build and strengthen relationships with construction companies, contractors, and project managers
  • Proactively cold call potential customers within the construction and supply chain industry
  • Identify and pursue sales opportunities, converting leads into successful deals
Key Responsibilities
  • Visit construction sites, clients, and existing accounts to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Develop new business by targeting contractors, builders, and developers
  • Understand the aggregates and construction materials market to identify opportunities
  • Plan and manage daily and weekly schedules for client visits and lead follow-ups
  • Prepare and follow up on quotes and orders to secure sales
  • Provide product knowledge and assist customers with selecting the right materials
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of proven sales experience
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, competitive market
  • Proficient in using PCs, tablets, and mobile devices, with knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport (advantageous for site visits)

Salary: R8 to 10K basic with Commission
