Minimum Requirements
- Physically fit and healthy
- Matric, relevant tertiary qualification advantageous (Sales / Marketing / Civil Engineering)
- Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the construction materials industry
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and closing abilities
- Ability to understand and convey technical information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Identify and target potential customers in the construction industry
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and developers
- Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities
- Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective clients
- Negotiate and close sales deals, ensuring profitable margins
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain regular contact with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and address any issues
- Provide technical support and product information to customers
- Follow up on leads and referrals resulting from field activity and marketing campaigns
Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise
- Stay informed about the properties and benefits of ready-mix concrete products
- Understand and communicate the technical specifications and applications of various concrete mixes
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate product for their needs
Coordination and Logistics
- Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Monitor and track orders to ensure customer requirements are met
- Resolve any issues related to product delivery and quality
Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and order details
- Regularly update CRM system
- Track and analyse sales performance against targets and objectives
