They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to lead their sales strategy and drive growth.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals. Analyze market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth and expansion.
- Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture. Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the team, tracking performance and providing regular updates to executive leadership.
- Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key national retailers and industry stakeholders. Identify and engage potential new customers to expand market reach.
- Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with the marketing team to design promotional campaigns and product launches. Collaborate with production and supply chain teams to ensure product availability and quality standards are met.
- Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and prepare reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis. Utilize data-driven insights to refine sales strategies and improve overall results.
- Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations with national retail chains to secure optimal terms and conditions. Oversee contract management to ensure compliance and alignment with company policies.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve financial objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within the food industry, preferably in processed meats or related sectors.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth through effective team leadership and client relationship management.
- Strong understanding of national retail dynamics and the ability to navigate complex sales environments.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
