Job summary

A leading staffing agency is seeking candidates for a role focused on building customer relationships and driving sales in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a matriculation, preferably a diploma as an engineer or qualified artisan, along with 1-2 years of experience in a customer services environment. Strong skills in communication, organization, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Acumetica are essential. Expectations include generating stock requirements, processing transactions accurately, and supporting logistics for timely deliveries.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience within a customer service environment.
  • Good working knowledge of Hydraulics, Lubrication, and Filtration.
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans.

Responsibilities

  • Grow sales from assigned customers following company ethics.
  • Generate purchase requisition and stock planning.
  • On-board new customers in consultation with management.
  • Prepare and process quotations, orders, and invoices.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and customer communications.
  • Assist customers with product information.
  • Support logistics for timely deliveries.
  • Provide administrative support including documentation.
  • Uphold standards of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Develop knowledge of Hydac products.

Job description
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric, Preferable – Diploma Engineer and or Qualified Artisan (Fitter or Millwright)
  • Preferable 1 - 2 years’ experience within customer services environment
  • Preferable good working knowledge of Hydraulics, Lubrication and Filtration
  • English and Afrikaans spoken and written.
  • Microsoft Office
  • ERP System: Acumetica
Responsibilities defined but not limited to the below
  • Grow Sales from customers assigned to you while maintaining ethical standards in accordance with Hydac policies and ethics.
  • Generate purchase requisition and stock planning requirements for customers
  • On-board new customers in consultation with the Internal Sales Manager
  • Prepare and process quotations, orders, and invoices with precision
  • Maintain accurate records of sales transactions and customer communications
  • Assist customers with product information and coordinate with technical teams when required
  • Support logistics and warehouse coordination to ensure timely deliveries
  • Provide administrative support to the sales team, including reporting and documentation
  • Uphold HYDAC’s standards of accuracy and professionalism in all communications
  • Learn and develop Hydac product knowledge.
