As we continue to grow, we are currently seeking an Associate Data and Business Analyst to join our dynamic and growing organisation.

The Sales Activations Agent is responsible for converting leads into active short-term insurance policies while delivering outstanding customer experiences. The role involves proactive sales engagement, policy activation, compliance with FAIS and TCF standards, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure policy accuracy and long-term retention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage prospective customers via inbound and outbound calls to convert leads into active policies.
  • Maintain and follow up on the sales pipeline to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
  • Cross-sell and upsell additional products aligned to customer needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across CRM systems and sales records.
  • Deliver a customer-first experience through every communication.
  • Handle queries efficiently, ensuring seamless activation and follow-up.
  • Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and service consistency.
  • Initiating long-term relationships through trust and reliability.
  • Ensure all interactions align with FAIS, TCF, and RE5 regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in QA call assessments and apply feedback.
  • Maintain compliant sales documentation and evidence of disclosures.
  • Report potential compliance or ethical risks immediately.
  • Complete daily and weekly reports on leads, conversions, and pipeline movement.
  • Collaborate with Retentions, Claims, and Customer Service for aligned customer solutions.
  • Escalate and share insights on customer trends and challenges.
  • Contribute to team performance goals and maintain transparency on deliverables.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programmes.
  • Stay up to date on Pineapple’s product offerings and system updates.
  • Contribute to team innovation and process enhancement discussions.
  • Demonstrate continuous improvement in personal sales performance.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • Matric (NSC) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 - 3 years in short-term insurance sales or a contact centre environment with a focus on lead conversion and customer engagement, preferably within Insurance or financial services.
  • Regulatory Examination (RE5), Class of Business, and meeting all Regulatory Fit and Proper requirements for the role (strongly preferred).
Skills and Competencies Required:
  • Technical competencies - Ability to build, maintain, and grow strong client relationships.
  • Generic Competencies - Deep understanding of the products or services offered to tailor solutions to client needs.
  • Negotiation Skills - Ability to influence decisions and close deals effectively.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation - Skilled in identifying potential clients and creating opportunities.
  • Closing Techniques - Proficiency in guiding clients through the sales funnel to conversion.
