Qualifications

Job description

Responsibilities

• Daily production processes and outputs, and maintaining production and quality standards (DAFF Meat Safety Act.).
• Routine planned and preventative maintenance on all Rendering Plant, Effluent Plant and Waste Water Treatment Plant equipment;
• Effectively dealing with processing interruptions and/or breakdowns;
• Interaction with Abattoir and communication to senior management;
• All labour-related issues, including managing of staff compliment;
• Maintaining discipline in accordance with Company Disciplinary Code & Procedures;
• Adherence to all Health & Safety, Environmental and Risk Standards and Policies;
• Implementing and/or maintaining 20Keys Program.

Qualifications

• Minimum Technical N3 Certificate;
• Be in possession of a Trade Test Certificate as a Fitter or Electrician or Millwright;
• Previous experience in electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance of Rendering processing equipment advantageous;
• Proven experience in a line-supervisory role;
• Computer literate – MS Office;
• Strong administrative, organising, interpersonal and time management skills;
• Must be prepared to work shifts, weekends, Public Holidays and overtime as required;
• In possession of a valid driver’s license and own reliable transport.
