Registered Nurse Trauma Qualified | A&E Unit

Life The Crompton Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse Trauma Qualified for the A&E Unit. The position reports to the Unit Manager, Penny Clifton. The successful candidate will contribute to the effective functioning of the unit and ensure quality nursing care to all patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic duties as allocated by the Unit Manager.
• Ensure the unit is run according to acceptable legal standards.
• Maintain excellent patient and customer care in accordance with Life Healthcare standards.
• Maintain sound relationships and communication with patients, relatives and the multi-disciplinary team.
• Build professional relationships with doctors and therapists to promote patient-doctor interaction.
• Maintain all Health, Safety and Infection Control standards.

Requirements

• Registered as a Registered Nurse with SANC.
• Trauma qualification is essential.
• Competencies required: strong customer orientation, team player, very energetic and well organized.
• Must be able to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills required.
• BLS must be up to date.
• Willingness to work day and night shifts.
