Overview
The QC Supervisor is responsible for organizing daily activities, maintaining and troubleshooting lab instruments, and communicating QC affairs between departments.
Responsibilities
- Guide and oversee day-to-day QC activities.
- Authorize release of raw materials and finished goods, as applicable.
- Coach and train team members.
- Report major batch record variances.
- Create and follow procedures, SOPs, and forms.
- Maintain proper quality documentation.
- Generate and review Certificates of Analysis.
- Support Change Management processes.
- Ensure adherence to lab procedures and safety protocols, applying 5S+1.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Collect samples, prepare shipments, and inspect raw materials and finished goods.
- Interpret data and perform raw material testing.
- Enter data daily and generate reports in ERP systems.
- Perform lot tracing and report nonconformities following SOPs.
- Generate nonconformity reports and communicate with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with QA for rework plans.
- Review supplier qualification tests.
- Investigate CAPA issues.
- Write and approve method validation protocols.
- Contribute to reports and internal presentations.
- Lead QC projects and participate in PIP meetings.
- Participate in or lead product scale-up activities.
- Identify opportunities for process innovation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to budgeting, as applicable.
- Maintain compliance with food/feed safety regulations.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree (4-year) in a related field with 5+ years of experience.
- Master’s Degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Previous management experience is preferred.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Advanced knowledge of lab instruments.

- Proficiency with computer systems (MS Office, M3, LIMs).
