Overview

The QC Supervisor is responsible for organizing daily activities, maintaining and troubleshooting lab instruments, and communicating QC affairs between departments.

Responsibilities

1. Guide and oversee day-to-day QC activities.
2. Authorize release of raw materials and finished goods, as applicable.
3. Coach and train team members.
4. Report major batch record variances.
5. Create and follow procedures, SOPs, and forms.
6. Maintain proper quality documentation.
7. Generate and review Certificates of Analysis.
8. Support Change Management processes.
9. Ensure adherence to lab procedures and safety protocols, applying 5S+1.
10. Participate in internal and external audits.
11. Collect samples, prepare shipments, and inspect raw materials and finished goods.
12. Interpret data and perform raw material testing.
13. Enter data daily and generate reports in ERP systems.
14. Perform lot tracing and report nonconformities following SOPs.
15. Generate nonconformity reports and communicate with stakeholders.
16. Coordinate with QA for rework plans.
17. Review supplier qualification tests.
18. Investigate CAPA issues.
19. Write and approve method validation protocols.
20. Contribute to reports and internal presentations.
21. Lead QC projects and participate in PIP meetings.
22. Participate in or lead product scale-up activities.
23. Identify opportunities for process innovation.
24. Work closely with cross-functional teams.
25. Contribute to budgeting, as applicable.
26. Maintain compliance with food/feed safety regulations.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (4-year) in a related field with 5+ years of experience.
• Master’s Degree with 2+ years of experience.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
