Roles and Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the Quality Control department (team of 610 staff).
- Conduct and manage QC audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Food Safety Programmes and Quality Assurance systems.
- Ensure process and product control measures are maintained throughout the production cycle.
- Drive retail and customer quality standards, ensuring full compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
- Lead team training and development, promoting a strong culture of quality awareness.
- Utilise Meat Matrix and other QC software systems for reporting and traceability.
- Perform data analysis and reporting on quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with production, R&D, and management teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure full adherence to HACCP, ISO, and other regulatory standards relevant to the FMCG industry.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Food Technology, or related field.
- 23 years experience in a similar QC / QA management role within the FMCG or food manufacturing sector.
- Proficient in Meat Matrix or similar QC systems.
- Strong knowledge of Food Safety, HACCP, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train, guide, and motivate a team.
- Analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail and a results-driven mindset.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand FMCG environment.
