As we continue to grow, we are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Tester/Automation to join our dynamic and growing organisation.

The QA Specialist (Automation) at Pineapple Tech PTY LTD plays a crucial role in testing and automating and improvement testing processes to ensure consistent, high-quality software delivery. This role focuses on creating, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts while collaborating with development teams to enhance code quality and reliability. The specialist supports Pineapple’s mission to deliver exceptional, stable digital experiences through innovative and efficient testing automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

General duties and responsibilities of a Quality Assurance Tester at Pineapple include, but are not limited to:

• Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.
• Implement test frameworks for frontend and backend systems, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
• Maintain test cases and ensure comprehensive test coverage for critical software components.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving overall code quality.
• Identify and resolve testing bottlenecks in the development lifecycle.
• Partner with QA and development teams to ensure consistent testing practices.
• Participate in sprint reviews, stand-ups, and retrospectives to align testing objectives.
• Provide mentorship to team members in automation best practices and tools.
• Manage test data and environments to support consistent and reliable test execution.
• Generate detailed QA reports, highlighting automation coverage, defects, and release readiness.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay updated with the latest testing tools, technologies, and frameworks.
• Recommend improvements to testing processes and automation strategies.
• Contribute to QA standards and documentation to enhance operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• BSc Computer Science, BCom Information Systems, or similar qualification.
• 1-3 years of experience in test automation within financial services, insurance, or technology sectors.
• Proficiency in automation frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Jest, or similar).
• Knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, and React testing (Detox, Sinon, Chai).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git).
