Job summary

A leading recruitment agency seeks a Laboratory Technician in Durban for a QA role. The successful candidate will conduct quality assurance testing, maintain quality systems, and perform internal audits. Candidates must have Grade 12 and a relevant diploma is preferred. A shift rotation system is in place, so own transport is essential. Salary offered is R10k CTC per month.

Qualifications

• Proficient in MS Office is required.
• At least one year of experience in a testing laboratory is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final QC on sub-assemblies.
• Maintain the calibration programme and conduct internal audits.
• Data entry for QC defect statistics in the Oracle Scada database.

Laboratory Technician Quality Assurance (QA) - eThekwini Durban

Salary : R10k CTC Per Month

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for QA Laboratory Technicians. These are Day & Night Shift positions and your own transport is essential due to night shift rotations. Applicants in surrounding areas of Umlazi, Phoenix, Pietermaritzburg, Pinetown & Hillcrest, available immediately preferred. Previous experience in a lab & highly pressurised, preferably chemical & production environment essential.

Purpose of Position

This position reports to the Quality Assurance Manager, and carries the primary responsibility of ensuring all relevant testing is done on materials in each process and to ensure that non-conforming materials are marked and reported in each process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key areas within the Quality Assurance Department.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 is compulsory; Related Diploma (Biotechnology, Chemistry)
• Day & Night Shift position
• Must be willing to work shifts - Own transport required, as the vacancy consists of night shift (4D4O4N4O)
• Proficient in MS Office
• One year or more previous experience in a testing laboratory
• Effective time keeping is essential, meticulous, high work ethic
• Applicants must be well spoken, self-driven to grow and develop within the niche Industry

Duties, Key Performance Areas

• Incoming, In-Process, and final QC on all sub-assemblies and completed systems including incoming raw material analysis MFR
• Perform process and FSSC internal audits
• Maintain calibration programme
• Data entry by entering all QC defect data into Oracle Scada database
• Create, maintain and publish QC trend analysis reports
• Involvement NCR (CARs) processing.
• Special projects as assigned
• Product testing shall be done in accordance with relevant test methods, work instructions and standards or specific manuals and through the use of appropriate formulae.
• Conducts quality auditing in raw materials. Record all audit findings in the production auditing forms.
