    • Verifying that all required services (electrical, plumbing & drainage, fire protection, HVAC & refrigeration) are coordinated and approved, ensuring that the pre-start checklist is fully completed
    • Assisting the PM by providing accurate programme inputs (such as activity durations and sequencing constraints) and supporting the upkeep of an updated look ahead schedule that reflects actual site conditions
  • Scope of Works & Contractor Management
    • Preparing and maintaining detailed Scope of Works (SOW) for all contractors, ensuring full alignment with approved drawings, specifications, and brand standards
    • Confirming that all contractor quotations match the SOW quantities and relevant drawings, verifying stock availability with suppliers, and submitting accurate inputs for the project budget
    • Coordinating all on-site contractors by sequencing works, confirming delivery dates, preventing trade clashes, and ensuring appropriate storage, waste management, and safe segregation where required
  • Site Supervision & Quality Control
    • Conducting daily site walk-throughs to assess workmanship, safety, progress, and compliance with approved drawings and brand standards; maintaining a daily diary supported by photo documentation
    • Confirming order accuracy and site readiness before work begins, including hard-copy drawings on site, accommodation arrangements (when applicable), and updated H&S documentation
    • Managing defects through a live snag list, assigning responsibilities and ensuring snags are resolved before progressing to subsequent phases
  • Project Progress & Reporting
    • Tracking daily and weekly progress against the approved programme, updating activity completion status and keeping the look-ahead schedule current
    • Logging delays, issues, and risks with clear cause-and-impact notes and escalating promptly to the PM
    • Coordinating and booking all consultant and local authority inspections, preparing necessary documentation and recording inspection outcomes accurately in the project file
  • Handover & Close-Out
    • Completing all snags prior to Practical Completion and conducting a joint walk-through to verify closure; providing training to store staff and Area Coach on system operations where required
    • Collecting and filing all legally required compliance documentation and statutory approvals for project handover, ensuring that all mandatory certificates, permissions, and regulatory documents are complete and correctly archived
    • Compiling the completing close-out pack, ensuring all soft copies are saved to the shared drive and all original documents are properly filed
    • Assisting Finance with final invoice reconciliation, budget variance review, and payment processing, ensuring all financial documentation is completed within agreed timelines
  • Other Requirements
    • Performing ad-hoc duties to support activities at the RSC and on project sites, as needed
Ideal Requirements
  • Essential: Matric (Grade 12) required with 3–5 years’ experience in site supervision or project coordination for remodels and/or new build projects
  • Advantageous: Qualification in Construction Management/Building/Civil Engineering (or related) and/or industry certification (e.g., site supervision/H&S/fit-out)
  • Experience in fast-track environments, ideally within retail, QSR, or other commercial fit-outs
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple contractors, consultants, and service providers across different project phases
  • Working knowledge of on-site safety requirements under the OHS Act
  • Proficiency with project tools, including MS Project (or equivalent scheduling tools), MS Excel and digital site-reporting platforms for photos, logs, and documentation
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel nationally and work at different locations for extended periods
Key Personal Inherent Characteristics

  • Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of health & safety legislation and best practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset
