Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Manager with experience in the building industry to join our team at a leading refrigeration manufacturer and supplier. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various projects related to the design, installation, and maintenance of refrigeration systems for our clients across the country. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in project management while gaining valuable experience in the refrigeration industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales teams and clients to understand project requirements, specifications, and timelines.
• Assist in the development of project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company goals.
• Coordinate project activities, including procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors, to ensure timely delivery and installation of refrigeration systems.
• Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or obstacles that may arise.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project feasibility, identify potential risks, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
• Communicate regularly with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to provide updates on project status, milestones, and deliverables.
• Prepare and present project reports, including budget analysis, progress tracking, and risk assessments, to senior management and clients.
• Assist in the resolution of project-related disputes or conflicts, working to maintain positive relationships with all parties involved.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process optimization, efficiency gains, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in project management to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in project management within the building industry, preferably with exposure to mechanical, HVAC, or refrigeration projects.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build rapport with clients.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar applications.
• Knowledge of construction and building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed and work flexible hours to accommodate project requirements.
• Proactive attitude and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to take initiative and drive projects to successful completion.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Preferred

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• Experience working with refrigeration systems or related equipment advantageous but not essential
• Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing and interpreting technical drawings.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role, providing project management support and coordination.
