Redheads Engineering Solutions is seeking a dynamic Project Manager / Project Engineer for a prominent client in the construction sector.

Location: Cape Town & Johannesburg.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Ensure timely and cost‑effective project completion while maintaining quality standards.
• Project Delivery: Oversee projects from initiation to closure, ensuring all contractual obligations are met.
• Technical Guidance: Provide expertise and direction to project team members.
• Engineering and Logistics: Manage engineering, logistics, and commissioning activities.
• Inspections: Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Communication: Facilitate effective communication and resolution of project-related issues.
• Project Planning: Collaborate with project/contract managers to define project scope and plan accordingly.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential project risks.
• People Management: Recruit, train, and manage project staff according to company policies.
• Project Finance: Monitor project expenditures, manage funds, and prepare financial reports.
• Technical and Design: Ensure technical compliance and facilitate product testing.

Desired Experience & Qualification

The ideal candidates will hold a minimum of a National Diploma/BTech/BSc in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) and/or Construction/Project Management. Registration as a Professional Engineer Technician with ECSA and as a Professional Construction Project Manager (Pr.CPM) at SACPCMP is essential, along with familiarity with NEC/FIDIC/JBCC contracts.

A minimum of 10 years' experience in construction, engineering, or consulting, including 5 years in a managerial capacity, is required.
