Role Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee and coordinate fabrication-related activities for modular process plant projects.
This is not a production management role — instead, the successful candidate will work closely with the Production Manager while taking ownership of office-based project coordination, client engagement, scheduling, and commercial oversight.
The role is pivotal in ensuring that fabrication deliverables are aligned with project timelines, budgets, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination & Scheduling
- Develop and manage fabrication schedules in alignment with overall project timelines
- Coordinate internal resources and ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, and production teams
- Monitor progress and proactively address delays or bottlenecks
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary client-facing representative for fabrication-related matters
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Facilitate regular progress updates, meetings, and reporting
- Commercial Oversight
- Track fabrication costs and ensure alignment with project budgets
- Support contract administration, variation management, and commercial negotiations
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to ensure accurate billing and cost control
- Interface Management
- Work in tandem with the Production Manager to ensure seamless handover between office and workshop activities
- Coordinate documentation, drawings, and fabrication packages for production readiness
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and delivery milestones
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Requirements
- Proven experience in Project Management within a fabrication, engineering, or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of Modular Plant Fabrication workflows and deliverables
- Excellent client-facing communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficient in Project Scheduling tools (e.g., MS Projects, Primavera) and document control systems
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, or related field
- Desirable
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
- Exposure to international project delivery and modular plant systems
- Commercial acumen and contract management experience
