SUMMARY:

An exciting position has arisen in Namibia for a young Project Engineer.

POSITION INFO: Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing installations of various new multi-million rand machines and technology.
2. Managing assigned engineering and technical projects.
3. Ensuring customer satisfaction regarding all engineering projects.
4. Developing and implementing project schedules and forecasts.
5. Coordinating and reviewing engineering deliverables.
6. Reporting weekly on project status and change orders.
7. Planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating technical and management aspects of projects.
8. Assisting in preparing engineering project and machine acquisition proposals.
9. Supporting in pricing, estimating, scoping strategies, and technical specifications development.
10. Assisting in preparing or modifying reports, specifications, plans, schedules, environmental studies, permits, and designs.
11. Implementing successful engineering projects.
12. Communicating extensively with project clients, external customers, and suppliers both overseas and locally.
13. Traveling to foreign machine manufacturers for specifications and sign-off.
14. Taking responsibility for commissioning and operating multi-million rand machinery and plants.

Requirements:

• BSc or BTech in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Project Management Diploma is advantageous.
