Professional Structural Engineer / Technologist (PrEng / PrTech)

About the Role

Our client is seeking to appoint a highly experienced Professional Structural Engineer or Structural Engineering Technologist to take responsibility for the planning, design, monitoring, and reporting of infrastructure and structural projects.

This is a senior, hands‑on role suited to a professionally registered individual who is confident working independently, engaging with clients, and overseeing projects from concept through to completion.

Minimum Requirements (Non‑Negotiable)

• BEng / BSc / BTech in Civil Engineering (Structural)
• Professional registration with ECSA as:
• PrEng (Professional Engineer), or
• PrTech (Professional Engineering Technologist)
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Structural Engineering
• At least 5 years post‑professional registration experience
• Proven experience in:
• Structural planning and design
• Monitoring and reporting on infrastructure projects
• Feasibility studies and technical reports
• Client liaison and project coordination

Key Responsibilities

• Attend client briefings and assist with preparing project specifications
• Conduct feasibility studies and compile technical reports
• Prepare structural designs and drawings
• Liaise with clients to ensure service delivery and satisfaction
• Arrange and attend project meetings, prepare minutes and progress reports
• Monitor construction works and advise contractors and Resident Engineers on site
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and quality requirements
