Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Production Manager in overseeing daily food manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are met.
  • Monitor production schedules, adjust workflow as needed, and optimize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO, FSSC 22000) and other industry standards.
  • Lead, train, and develop production staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
  • Maintain and enforce health and safety protocols in the production environment.
  • Collaborate with quality control, logistics, and procurement teams to ensure product quality and timely delivery.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, liaise with maintenance teams, and ensure minimal downtime.
  • Maintain accurate production records, generate reports, and analyze performance metrics.
  • Assist in cost control measures to optimize raw material usage and reduce overhead costs.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12
  • Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Production Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an assistant management role within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food production processes, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and HACCP principles.
  • Familiarity with factory automation systems and production planning software.
  • Flexibility to work shifts and weekends.
