Production Controller - East Rand

Skilled Production Controller sought to support thriving Sales Team. Service driven, Methodical administrator and sourcing specialist. The main purpose of this role is to source products, generate quotes and place orders.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Exposure to branding, promotional products and corporate gift industry a must
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience in sales administration, quoting and / or production
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Basic financial acumen and analytical behaviour
  • Must be efficient, organized and able to multi-task
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in target driver environment and ability to liaise on all levels
  • Managing Production and / or knowledge of production
  • Knowledge of CI and CAD approvals will be beneficial
  • Excellent ability to plan, organise & handle customer queries
  • Sense of urgency
  • Must have own vehicle
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Netsuite, Accpac or Sage)
  • Must be proficient in English & Afrikaans

  • Strong phone presence and willing to telephonically call clients and suppliers and speak to them

Responsibilities
  • Ensure production timelines are submitted correctly and within the company's timeframe as set out in our SLA’s
  • Attend to all administrative tasks within the required timeframes including supplier PO’s and customer PO's
  • Assist the Manager by overseeing client accounts and provide assistance, information and options as needed
  • Sourcing of promotional products and corporate gifts as per client specification
  • Liaise with the Design department for approvals and artwork
  • Liaise with the Production team and create instructions for production
  • Ensure that the relevant information has been loaded onto the accounting system as soon as we receive the order
  • General office administration (copying, scanning, filing, etc.)
  • Plan production with various suppliers on various jobs at the same time
  • Offer and suggest alternative product and / or services in order to meet end users deadlines
  • Provide first line sales telephonic assistance to customers
  • Identify sales opportunities
  • Manage production of all orders and ensuring orders are delivered as per company SLA’s and / or to meet clients delivery deadline
  • Follow up on production, communicating and updating the external sales executive on all production
  • Assisting management with ad hoc projects and requests where necessary
  • Ensuring documentation is submitted timeously
  • Ensuring production schedule is updated daily
  • In dept CI knowledge for all allocated customers as candidate will be approving artwork with suppliers
  • Various office administrative duties: working with various departments within the company to ensure orders are completed in time and according to our company standards – includes briefing departments accordingly in order for them to fulfil their duties
