Job Title: Procurement Manager
Location: Boksburg / Johannesburg Area
Reporting to: Head of Supply Chain / Operations
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers (local and international)
- Negotiate contracts and maintain supplier agreements
- Manage purchase orders and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor supplier performance and risk (quality, lead times)
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and finance on demand planning
- Manage procurement team (buyers, planners)
- Track procurement KPIs and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with B‑BBEE procurement (if applicable)
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant business / commercial or manufacturing / engineering degree is preferred, or NQF 7 qualifications.
- Proven experience in a purchasing management role, preferably within a retail or industrial environment.
- Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.
- Contract management and supplier experience.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge of supply chain management.
- Computer literate, especially Excel skills.
