Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in the Johannesburg Metropolitan Area for a Process Engineer. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing water treatment processes, monitoring and controlling operational systems, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and efficiency objectives. The Process Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, identify areas for process improvements, and apply engineering principles to achieve project goals. Responsibilities also include troubleshooting, problem-solving, and delivering innovative solutions aligned with customer needs and sustainability standards.

Job Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience as a process engineer
  • Chemical Engineering Bachelor3s degree
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Computer literacy in MS Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
  • Strong attention to details
  • Sound engineering knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Good mathematical and data interpretation capabilities
  • Knowledge of water and wastewater legislation, particularly with respect Potable Water (SANS 241) and trade effluent discharge permit systems
  • Working knowledge of water treatment process solutions including UF/NF/RO membranes, media filtration, ion exchange, disinfection systems and more technologies
  • Working knowledge of effluent treatment process solutions including biological, chemical and physio chemical processes
  • Working knowledge of H&S, Quality Assurance and Project Management practices
  • Team player with the ability to interact with team members across broad range skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and effective presentation skills
