Our Client, a market leader in the Packaging and Recycling Industry, is seeking to employ a Printer Operator to their Production Department based in Port Elizabeth.

This is an urgent requirement and 2 printer operators are required.

Requirements:
  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Qualification in Trade of Corrugated Board Printing and Finishing Machine Minding.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience operating a printing machine.
  • Knowledge of controlling operations, equipment, or systems (IoT).
  • Computer literacy in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or equivalent in-house systems.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Understanding of ink viscosity and colour matching.
  • Able and willing to work shifts and overtime when required.
  • Proactive, responsible, and reliable.
  • Able to work independently.
  • High attention to detail.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
  • Operate and set up printing machines as per job requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental procedures (ISO standards).
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Review and assess work orders to meet production specifications.
  • Ensure final product meets customer requirements.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards within the department.
  • Update and maintain in-house systems daily.
  • Actively contribute to improving machine availability through adherence to maintenance systems.
