An opportunity exists for an experienced cyber security professional to step into a strategic leadership role driving security across enterprise fixed and cloud networks. This role is ideal for someone with deep technical expertise, a passion for mentoring others and the ability to deliver cyber resilience in high-stakes environments.

On behalf of our client we are seeking a Principal Specialist : Cyber Security Networks for a contract role based in Midrand. This is a highly specialised position requiring strong leadership, hands-on technical capability and a proven track record in delivering cyber security across complex network ecosystems.

Key Duties

• Lead the design and implementation of cyber security controls across mobile fixed satellite cloud and IoT networks
• Deliver end-to-end project execution across critical domains including Core Networks Enterprise CPE Network Management Systems and Office Connectivity
• Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST and other regulatory frameworks
• Enhance threat detection and assurance capabilities using tools such as SIEM and NetFlow
• Develop and lead sustainable security processes driving continuous improvement and resilience
• Mentor and guide junior team members fostering a collaborative and innovative security culture

Key Requirements

• 8 years of cyber security experience within enterprise and IP network environments
• Relevant degree or tertiary qualification in Information Technology
• Expert understanding of ISO 27001, NIST and cyber risk management frameworks
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• In-depth knowledge of network hardening, CPE security and performance measurement
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Practitioner, CCSP or CCIE (Security) are highly desirable
