About the job Principal Lead Portfolio Analytics

Lead a team of analysts in ensuring theportfolio reporting/shaping agenda is clearly defined, optimised andeffectively executed within a robust control framework and aligned to relevantpolicy and legislation.

Responsiblities include:

• Assist indefining, optimising and implementing the Profitability framework
• Assist indefining, optimising and implementing the Portfolio reporting framework andstakeholder engagement
• Ensurethe continuous improvement of the portfolio management and profitability modelsand methodologies, trend analysis and forecasting techniques applied to managerisks/opportunities
• Act as arepresentative in forums, weekly and/or monthly meetings and enterprise projectinitiatives, collaborating cross-functionally and managing stakeholders acrossthe business and shareholders
• As acredible and respected expert within a sub-discipline of Portfolio Managementand Profitability, generate ideas and offer unique perspectives to optimisecomplex processes, systems and disciplines
• Lead,manage and develop a team of Portfolio & Profitability analysts

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Economics, Econometrics, Mathematics, CA(SA) or related field
• 5 years Financial Accounting or Credit Risk experience in a Senior Role
• Exposure to the financial drivers on the incomce statement and impairment levers
• Experience in working with profit modelling and a solid commercial understanding of financial services
• Experience in working in an outsourced environment and effectively implementing solutions both internal and external resources
• Experience in data cleaning and analysing large sets of data using SQL or similar environment
