  • Matric/Grade 12.
  • Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in the follow:

    • Economics
    • Business Administration
    • Statistics or Data Analytics
  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in procurement price analytics
  • Manufacturing or engineering experience advantageous

General
  • The Procurement Pricing Analyst is responsible tor analysing, managing, and optimising pricing structures to support profitability, cost control, and competitive positioning. The role works closely with Procurement, Finance, Sales, and Operations to ensure pricing decisions are data- driven and aligned to business strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyse supplier pricing, cost breakdowns, and cost drivers
  • Monitor price movements, inflation trends, and exchange rate impacts
  • Conduct price variance analysis (actual vs budget, current vs previous)
  • Support supplier negotiations with pricing and cost insights
  • Develop should-cost models and pricing benchmarks
  • Maintain pricing models, dashboards, and reports
  • Track savings, cost avoidance, and procurement performance
  • Validate supplier price increase requests
  • Support audits and pricing governance
  • Support buyers and pricing analysts with data and administration
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies and controls
  • Always adhere to the Code of Ethics with all purchases.
  • Identifying cost-saving opportunities through alternative sourcing and vendor innovation.
  • Analyse supplier pricing, cost breakdowns, and rate structures to ensure competitiveness and value for money
  • Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) and should-cost analyses to support sourcing decisions
  • Identify pricing trends, cost drivers, and inflationary risks across categories
  • Benchmark prices against market data, historical spend, and alternate suppliers
  • Accuracy of procurement and supplier data
  • Contract and pricing data integrity
  • Compliance with BBEEE and regulatory requirements
  • Audit outcomes related to procurement documentation
  • Integrity of all upkeeping of current and relevant information
  • Support negotiations by preparing detailed pricing models and savings scenarios
  • Validate supplier quotes, tenders, and pricing adjustments for accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor contract pricing, escalations, rebates, and index-linked increases
  • Ensure pricing terms are correctly implemented in contracts and ERP systems
  • Assist Management and the Procurement Team with any ad hoc projects and requests at all times.
