Practice Manager - Children with Disabilities

East London

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting a Practice Manager to join the Children with Disabilities Service in an East London based local authority rated OUTSTANDING by OFSTED. This is a key leadership role supporting the management of a dedicated Children with Disabilities Team.

This position is ideal for an experienced Practice Manager seeking to broaden their expertise, or a skilled Senior Social Worker ready to take the next step in their career development.

Salary: Up to £61,653 (dependent on experience) + £3,000 Recruitment & Retention Bonus

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and nurture a team of Social Workers and unqualified staff to deliver high‑quality Children’s Social Care services.

Ensure the service is effective, outcome‑focused, and that children’s cases are progressed in a timely and responsive manner.

Take responsibility for managing complex cases and contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the service.

Support and influence the development of best practice, policies and procedures within the operational team.

Build and maintain strong multi‑agency relationships, ensuring effective communication across the service.

Take a lead role in team meetings and operational functions, acting as deputy in the absence of the Team Manager.

Key Requirements

Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, PGC in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent).

Registration with Social Work England.

Demonstrable experience in children’s social care, ideally within disability services.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide and support a diverse team.
