PURPOSE & OVERALL RELEVANCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION
- Assist management in day-to-day store maintenance while providing excellent service and observing and maintaining all store policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures the highest level of adidas service is given to each customer.
- Completes regular sales transactions involving cash, credit, checks, etc., as needed.
- Involved indirectly with ticketing of products and checking paperwork against items received.
- Assists in product flow from stockroom to sales floor on a fill-in basis.
- Assists in the development of displays of merchandise or follows suggestions or schedules provided by the store management team.
- Attains proficiency with the point‑of‑sale system and maintains integrity through attention to policy and procedure.
- Uses selling techniques such as add‑on sales and describing technical information to customers to enhance salesmanship and reach store and position sales goals.
- Greets customers in the store and assists them in finding the right product; occasionally serves primarily as a greeter at the front door during busy workdays.
- Maintains general housekeeping standards, including cleaning of the store.
- Safeguards company assets.
- Performs loss prevention duties, monitors the sales floor, reports any suspicious activity, and follows security procedures/SLAP.
- Participates in in‑store or digital training (Atticus/AREA) to ensure product knowledge and role best practice.
- Familiarizes themselves with Power BI tools to understand store performance, best sellers, and black‑hole products.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Flexibility to help during the week, evenings, and weekends.
- Previous fashion retail experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Adaptability to handle various tasks and changing circumstances.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Matric certificate.
- 0–1 years of retail experience.
