We are seeking a meticulous Payroll Administrator to handle the day-to-day payroll capturing, using VIP Premier and Sage 300 People. The role ensures the accurate and timely processing of payroll, statutory submissions, and third-party payments, with a focus on compliance with South African payroll laws and regulations. This full-time, permanent position is based in Pretoria East.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-Day Payroll Capturing: Accurately capture payroll data, including attendance, overtime, third-party payments, and other payroll adjustments, ensuring all entries are correctly recorded.
- Employee Records: Update and maintain employee records in the payroll system, ensuring that payroll information is accurate and up to date.
- Third-Party Payments: Process and manage third-party payments, such as garnishments, loan repayments, medical aids, and pension contributions, ensuring they are accurately captured in the payroll system.
- Payments & Records: Ensure timely and accurate payments to third-party organizations and vendors, maintaining proper records of transactions.
- Payroll Adjustments and Deductions: Handle payroll-related adjustments and deductions as required.
- Payroll Queries and Discrepancies: Address payroll-related queries and discrepancies from employees, management, and third-party providers, providing timely and accurate solutions.
- Reporting & Compliance: Generate payroll reports as required, including statutory reports (EMP201, EMP501), third-party payments, and other payroll-related reports.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with BCEA, SARS regulations, and other relevant statutory payroll requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Education: A Finance Diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in payroll administration, specifically using VIP Premier and Sage 300 People or similar payroll software.
Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of EMP201, EMP501, and WCA submissions.
- Knowledge of third-party payment processes and payroll compliance.
- Familiarity with statutory deductions and South African payroll laws, including BCEA.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail when capturing payroll data, processing third-party payments, and ensuring compliance with statutory submissions.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple payroll tasks and meet submission deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to address payroll queries and collaborate with employees, management, and third-party organizations.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve discrepancies and issues related to payroll and third-party payments quickly and efficiently.
